Should one's personal appearances be important when attending social functions that are known to attract famous and intellectual people? |
[Edit] |
Answer
Yes, it's vitally important!
Would you be a manager with a bad suit or not appopriate vest???
Would you wear a home clothes to attend a social meeting?
What would you wear of you are a public speaker, even if you were George Bush?
You can't, you never do like that!
Because other people will judge you through your appearance, your clothes! If you wear unappropriate clothes, they will look at you with hamrful eyes!
Your personal appearance is VERY important any time you're in a public place. People respond (or not) to you depending on how you look. It seems shallow, but that's the way it is. I personally will go out of my way to avoid interracting with kids who are "saggin". If I'd wanted to see your drawers, I'd have offered to buy you a drink... I've seen otherwise qualified job applicants lose an opportunity because they went to the interview wearing jeans and a tee-shirt. It cannot be stressed enough: YOUR PERSONAL APPEARANCE IS IMPORTANT ANY TIME YOU LEAVE YOUR HOME!
