Should one be concerned if his girlfriend of two years feels it is alright for her to spend time with her ex-husband?

Answer

Unless her ex husband is extremely ill and in hospital it is absolutely not alright! Once you separate from one mate you should keep going and not maintain contact with this person unless children are involved. If she and her ex had children together then there is nothing wrong with both of them sharing "fun times" with the children. If there are no children involved, she should stay away.

If there are no children involved then it's apparent this young woman wants her cake and eat it too. Give her a choice! You or him! She should be more respectful of you.

Good luck Marcy

[Comment: I wouldn't negate contact so resolutely; it depends on the characters involved and the setting of where they want to spend their time together and why they want to meet. There can be different sorts for concern for this meeting, by the way.]
