Hi, my name is Pnina Baumgarten. I'm a native New Yorker who now shares a home in Jerusalem with a big uncivilized dog named Matza (Hebrew for "found"; my name is a Biblical one and it's Hebrew for "pearl"). I've been part of the Answers family on and off since 2000, with a break of several years during which I worked for The Jerusalem Post. I like wordplay and animals, and I watch way too much television. My BA is in Jewish Studies, plus I'm very interested in the subject, so that gives me the illusion that I'm qualified to supervise the Judaism category.
