In the last several months, I have gone from a zombie-killing, Nazi-hunting video game junkie to a freedom-fighting, science-loving activist. From this, I have given my life more purpose and obtained a new-found faith in humanity. There are a lot of things in American society that we regard as fact or "just part of life" that absolutely aren't. The more accepting we are of the absurd, the more naive and vulnerable we become. Feelings of helplessness in America are growing by leaps and bounds and there are many reasons why. The key to curbing our downward spiral as a nation is education. I beg you to question everything you believe. The only way to intellectual enlightenment is to stay open to all ideas and possibilities. People thought we'd never fly. Teachers said Einstein would never succeed. If you're looking, you will never find an end to your potential.
