In Texas you'd go to jail for Driving While License Suspended and probably be issued a speeding ticket as well....

In Illinois you'd be arrested for No Valid DL and issued a speeding ticket. If you came to court with a valid DL, they'd most likely drop the No Valid DL ticket and you'd only have to worry about the speeder. The fine would depend on the county and judge.

In Virgina, you will be arrested for No Valid DL, issued a speeding ticket AND police will impound the vehicle. The court will fine you for No Valid DL and speeding. Even you got the Valid DL after got the ticket, it still will be charge.

Wow, here in my part of Texas you get a slap on the wrist - with a piece of paper asking you to please come to court - in about a month or so (if you have the time, of course)! And, that's after you have caused an accident! No arrest made of the girl that ran the red light - and driving with NO license - and hit my child's Tahoe so hard the vehicle flipped and slid through the intersection into a pole!
