What are Fiction genres?

Fiction is the telling of stories. They may contain many or few facts. There are a number of different types or genres of fiction.

That's fairly typical. Some people divide it differently, or combine some of the categories... use "Adventure" rather than Espionage, etc... but Spy novels are popular. Some combine Fantasy and Sci-Fi, and some people break down each of these categories into smaller categories... like Sci Fi... cyberpunk, hard Sci-Fi, and speculative fiction... depending on whose definitions you are going with that day. Anyway, that is at least a start.
