The following are signs of astrology:
- Money inexplicably wasted, with no tangible results, on horoscopes, readings, tarot, crystals, new age, alternative medicines, all natural remedies, holistic anything, and Tabloids.
- An irrational belief you are not responsible for your own decisions, or that the outcome of your decisions can, in any way, be influenced by planets or stars, or your birthday.
- A fascination with the symbols and vocabulary from the past, of languages that nobody speaks anymore, based on the unreasonable desire that they will shed light on some unknown future.
- An interest in these past beliefs, but with no actual interest in what they really meant when they were used by all those dead, poor, ignorant people, nor any desire to find out how they might be made useful today.
- An expectation that anyone else, especially loved ones, actually care what some stranger made up to tell, especially if you paid them to tell it to you.
- An ability to take a vague phrase or paragraph and to interpret it to mean whatever happens to be convenient at any given moment. And, if circumstances change, even if they seem to contradict a particular interpretation, this ability can be used to find a different interpretation, without ever bringing into question the original phrase or paragraph.
These are the signs that Astrology leaves.
That being said;
...a popular form of astrology takes the names of 12 constellation, and they call it the zodiac, and they assign these names of constellation to various 'signs' which they then assign to 12 parts of the calender year. Humorously, in reality they don't align with the true position of these constellations, they skipped one constellation, and they don't even assign one sign to each month of the year, but instead offset the cycle, causing each month to have more than one sign.
They only use twelve names of the constellations that appear to rise and set in the same approximate location where the Sun also rises and sets. Not to mention the fact that constellations don't even look anything like what they are named after, and are only a group of stars that appear to be close to each other, but might actually be closer to other stars in other constellations, which appear to be in another part of the sky.
The signs are as follows, ending in mid-January:
Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio.
