Consequences of Overpopulation
A psychological study put a high density population of mice in an enclosed area, gave them plenty of bedding material and plenty of food.
Mice started to demonstrate aberrant behavior, from food hoarding, mothers killing their offspring, bands of adolescent mice attacking other mice and even homosexual behaviors. While there is no evidence that overpopulation would contribute to such behaviors in humans, one must at least contemplate the possibilities.
