What are the most common greetings of Cyprus?

[Edit]

Answer

The most common greeting is 'xerete', which kinda means 'hello' put in posh-talk. The second most common greeting is 'yia', which is short of 'yiasou'. This means both 'hello' and 'goodby'. Merhaba, Selam or Hosgeldin are commonly used greetings in the Turkish Republic of Cyprus.
