[Edit]

Answer

remember that the american revolution happened 1776-1780 and after the french saw that king george the 3rd lost the most prized colony of england decided that they would do as the americans and revolt against tyranny. french revolution took place after the american revolution.

Answer

The French and American Revolution had many of the same ideologies. Each revolt concerned itself with the personal freedom of the people as well as the proper representation of those citizens within the respective government. The American Revolution was initiated against Great Britain, and the policies of the British Parliament, 3000 miles from the site of the revolution. The French Revolution, however, was a revolt against the autocratic rule of King and Nobles within the French system. While each revolution contained military warfare, the French Revolution turned more bloody and violent than the American Revolution.

Answer

The American and French Revolutions do have at least one thing in common; the public ridded themselves of their higher power.

Answer

I believe that I have a more complete answer. They do have some subtle differences, but they are definitely numbered. One of them is that each country's king was the cause of the revolution (King George III for the American, King Louis XVI for French). Each country had their own declaration and constitution written during their revolution. Also, each country revolted against a higher power, as mentioned in the previous post.

Answer

napoleon was the 'George Washington' of the French Revolution...except for the fact that he did not help set up the constitution, believe in democracy, or want the people to rule themselves, instead of becoming president in a limited term, he declared himself emperor and tried to rule all of Europe---so...other than that, they are just alike!

Answer

Two of the greatest Revolutions that occurred between the late

1700's through the mid- a huge turning point was formed

American history, and the French Revolution was one of the most

important events in the history of the world. Both of these revolutions

had great impacts both then and now.

The American Revolution marked the end of the British and

the beginning of the new self-governed America. The American

Revolution began when the king of Britain sent colonists over to the

new world to colonize in the first thirteen original colonies. Britain

began to put taxes on needed items such as stamps, tea, sugar, and

newspapers. This outrage began the rebellion of the Americans

against the British. One of the first significant events of the

Revolution was the well-known Boston tea party. And so the

Revolution began.

During the American Revolution, ideas from the Old World were

put to the test. Ideas such as separation between the church and the

state, written constitutions, and sovereignty of the people were just a

few. When the American colonists won their independence from

Britain, the United States of America was created.

The French Revolution was mostly caused by the disputes

between the different social classes in the French society and their

ideas in which to control the government. At the time of the

revolution, France was the most powerful state in Europe. The

authorities of kings, priests and nobles were questioned during this

time. Many new political meanings and ideas were introduced to the

people, many which would later be useful. New political forces such

as democracy and nationalism were developed because of the

French Revolution.

The American Revolution and French Revolution, occurring at

about the same time, has both a number of differences, and some

similarities. The French Revolution was a bloody, violent war, while

the American Revolution, for the most part, was not very violent.

Though there were differences in these revolutions, both were

important events in world history.

Answer

Perhaps the largest difference is that America was a colony rebelling over issues of taxation and freedom for self government, and the French revolution was the overthrow of a monarchy for the establishment of a democracy.
