Unless you have had direct experience working for a tracing operation, I wouldn't suggest starting your own business, you will starve.

With out direct work experience..........Try looking for a office that is willing to hire you for minimum wage, plus a percentage for successfull "locations" that way you may learn something.

There are so-called "schools for training skip tracers" but in my opinion, the best way to learn is thru being able to observe a good tracer, at work.

In some states, you have to have a Private Investigator license to work as a tracer, and in others there is no specific legislation about it. I'd check with the Texas state government about the rules to follow and the cost of a license, either PI or tracer.

The other side of the coin is this...........who are your customers going to be? Unless you have contacts in the loan and banking business world, you will again starve to death.
