What can you eat on a low carbohydrate diet? |
[Edit] |
Answer
It's more what you wish to avoid -- think white! White flour, sugar, rice, and potatoes. Also, anything that satisfies the sweet tooth too much such as bananas and dried fruit. Oranges are also, high in carbohydrates. Lean protein is excellent, whole grain breads/pasta strictly limited. Low carbohydrate non-starchy vegetables are also allowed on a low carbphydrate diet. Look at the glycemic index and avoid foods with a high number.
