Pain throughout the body

There are many and various illnesses which could cause such pain. I can appreciate your anxiety about your mother, but finding a diagnosis may not be the answer to your worries

I have personal experience of investigations and tests over a period of 10 years. Through internet research I am aware that many people who suffer constant pain remain 'Undiagnosed' for many years, or the diagnosis changes or develops as the condition progresses.

Most treatments are for the symptoms and are used on a trial and error basis. Much Research is ongoing on a number of disorders such as Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder and Auto Immune Conditions. Cures appear to be a long way off.

Sorry if all that sounded very pessimistic, but as I said I have some personal experience.

The GOOD news is that I am much better following a consultation and treatment by an Holistic Therapist. I have also helped myself by changing my lifestyle and diet. I have returned to work after a year's absence. I still have some pain, but I feel more in control and positive about my future health.

All the above and I still have no clear DIAGNOSIS.

You obviously love your mother, so instead of worrying about what the problem might be, Help her now! Get her to a good Holistic Therapist and she will soon begin to FEEL better, I promise you.

As a follow up to my previous post; Today a Rheumatologist postulated thatI am most likely to be suffering from FIBROMYALGIA. Fibromyalgia has a myriad of symptoms including 'pain throughout the body'.

If you prefer traditional medicine you might suggest your Mum be tested. It involves, History taking, physical examination which involves checking out typical sites of pain and some blood tests.

No cures are offered as yet, but your mum might be a candidate for a study or trial within traditional medicine. I already know of two research projects within my own area. Participation may lead to access to innovative treatments, you never know.

Inflammation

Pain is caused by inflamtion and is most able to be felt by the nerves in the skin. Theraputic massage reduces soft tissue inflamation and fixes pain over time. Pressure poaint therapy is the most effective form of massage.
