new answer from smart person, yes rice is part of most every meal but chicken fish, potatoes, eggplants, bannana, plantains, carrots,onions, yams, beans, goat,
many dishes are mixed of french and sometimes african influence with traditonal west indian influence, some arab foods have become popular such as kiby, american and other western dishes are more popular, hot fogs, hamburgers, pizza, etc
there are many bakeries in haiti, where you can purchase cake and bread, the list goes on but it is a blend of spanish food with french and some african influence also some italian dishes like spaghettie with haitian twists like spaghettie creole,
