[Edit] |
Answer
it happened in 1066 and there was a battle between harold godwinson and harald hadraada who both wanted to be the new king of england. they had a battle and whoever won the battle would be the next king. harald hadraada was killed and harold godwinson was crowned but was then killed 2 weeks later at the battle of hastings. after godwinson's death the crown was then passed to william duke of normandy a.k.a william the conquer. lil fact: did ya know that william is a far distant ancestor to the modern royal family!! i only found out today okay then bye ppl im off to conquor the world mwuhahahahahahaha oh yeah n heres a tip for the future when the supreme ruler (that will be moi) of the world tells you to bow down u hav to bow or else *shakes fist threateningly*
Answer
King Harold of England defeated King Harald (note the different spelling) of Norway who was invading England trying to claim the throne for himself. Of course, a few weeks later Harold was himself defeated and killed at the Battle of Hastings. Michael Montagne
