John Beard, the award-winning TV News anchor and reporter in Los Angeles was fired by KTTV Fox-11in December despite the highest ratings in station history.
Beard was hired by KTTV in 1993 to bring ratings and credibility to a struggling newsroom. He did just that, but in recent years...when newsroom management took a turn toward more superficial content and less news of substance, Beard fought for the professionals in the newsroom to keep the standards high.
Beard hopes to work in a professional TV newsroom again soon, hopefully in Los Angeles.
