What is a red book with gold insignia that says Adolph Hitler on the cover in German print with original photos of Hitler and the SS? |

Answer
Robert, Does it say anything else at all? Do you actually have this book or where did you see it? This could be an orginal copy of "Mein Kampf". That is German for My Struggle and it is the book that Hiler wrote, while he was in jail, expressing his political and racial ideas and stating quite clearly exactly what he wanted to do to the rest of the world if he ever got the chance.
Answer
I suspect the book you are looking at has the number 15 next to the title on the end of the book, and a 133 pages. If so this is one of a series of books (at least 15 in a variety of books) published between 1933 and 1940. The purpose was to create a greater respect of Hitler and all he had done. They were trying to raise Hitler to a "god-like" person.
The photos were hand pasted to the pages, and have text printed on the back (don't try to look, leave them alone.)
Oops, I forgot to add that that book has been translated into English by: Peebles Press International, Inc. 10 Columbus Circle, New York,NY 10019 Copyright 1978
This book might be found in a used book store, or possibly from Amazon Books, but I have only seen one in the last 40 years, so I can't say it will be easy to find.
Answer
I have one such book. My father got it while in Germany in 1945 as part of the 8th Air Force occupation force. I have always wondered about this book; it's origins, etc. Do you suppose it has any value?
Answer
Hello I also own this book. My Grandfather was a Col. in the Army. I was wondering if it had any value. I was thinking that maybe it should be insured if it did.
