A SIMPLE ANSWER MIGHT BE , IT DOESNT MATTER IF YOU SET GOALS OR NOT HOWEVER A GOAL OR BENCHMARK SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED UP WITH THE QUESTION HOW DID WE GET HERE? IF YOU SET A GOAL OF ONE MILLION POUNDS TURNOVER IN THE FIRST YEAR AND YOU DO ACHEIVE THAT GOAL IT IS VERY HARD TO MOVE FORWARD WHILST YOU ARE PATTING YOURSELVES ON THE BACK WITHOUT ASKING HOW DID WE ACHEIVE THAT GOAL SO I WOULD SAY LOOK DEEPER THAN JUST THE GOAL AND GOOD OR BAD ALWAYS TRY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BUSINESS TO GET YOU WHERE YOU ARE TODAY.
