Answer

What sounds 'adnomia' to me is 'insomnia'. Insomnia is a condition in which one cannot sleep durring their aloted resting time. If this problem lasts for more than one week, it is advisable to take a sleep aid. However do not take a sleep-aid for longer than two weeks without first consulting your doctor. It may be a serious condition requiring further treatment. To put it more personally, I have had this condition since childhood, and have been taking a sleep-aid for quite a while now. But now a word of caution: Sleep-aids can be addictive, no matter how much it is said they are not. This is not nessesarly because of the drug itself, but because you may become a 'sleepaholic' using the effect of the drug to get you there. If this is not what the word was, I am sorry, but at least there is a bit of information out there for those who do have this condition. :-}

Answer

Could it be anhedonia? That is a word that is used to describe the inability to experience pleasure whether it be from eating, sexual interactions, or other things that may normally result in pleasure. Like the person said above, if this isn't the word, at least you got some extra information :)

answer

I think you should go back to the doctor and ask exactly what was meant. As you can see from the above answers there are so many similar words it could be anything. I can think of another four, some serious and some not serious and you REALLY need to know what he/she is talking about.
