Have you looked at the spelling and read the questions? I'm sticking by my answer but I will delete it for the sake of peace. If there isn't a spell-check option, there needs to be.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IQ

"An individual's IQ score may or may not be stable over the course of the individual's lifetime."

"It is well known that it is possible to increase one's IQ score by training, for example by regularly playing puzzle games, or strategy games like Chess. Musical training in childhood also increases IQ. Recent studies have shown that training in using one's working memory may increase IQ."

"Once thought immutable, recent research suggests that certain mental activities can change the brain's raw ability to process information, leading to the conclusion that intelligence can be altered or changed over time. Studies into the neuroscience of animals indicate that challenging activities can produce changes in gene expression patterns of the brain. (Training Degus to Use Rakes [53] and Iriki's earlier research with macaque monkeys indicating brain changes.) A study published in April 2008 by a team from the Universities of Michigan and Bern demonstrated the transfer of fluid intelligence from specifically designed working memory training ([54]).

Further research will be needed to determine the extent and duration of the transfer."

Answer:

the average in uk is 108 :p

Answer

Any "average" IQ is always 100.

Answer

While IQ can vary with age (and a wide variety of other factors), it's a sad fact that IQ drops, and does not increase. Congratulations on your 129 IQ, Sai 13-year-old, but IQ is not something that grows with age.

A second point to ponder is that IQ measures only potential. It requires willpower and a work ethic to get anything out of it ... but then again, so does any personal resource. Forget school and get a real education -- at the library!

Answer

While the average IQ is ideally 100, the average American IQ is in fact 98.

Answer

I am 12 and have an IQ of 141, is that good?

Answer

Well, yes of course, as good as Einstein.

However, there is only very little chance that someone could get a very high IQ like you. It also depends where you took the IQ from. Not all of the places give the same IQ rate as others...

America's average IQ might be lower than the UK's, but at least we have better dentistry!

Answers:

First, the statistical ideal IQ is 100. However, that's if the testing of the exam/metrics works. Variances of 5 or 10 points are of limited or zero relevance, as the standard IQ tests are not super-refined, and are subject to errors in vernacular (ref: prior English vs. American remarks), grammar (Ibid), etc.

Over 140 is, as I recall, about 2 (er, nearly 3 -- checked -- egads!) standard deviations from the mean, which isn't bad at all, is rare, but is far from "very little chance". IQ ratings over 180 are considered to be anomalous.
