I am a buyer and have been researching this question. Here are my findings and most experts, bankers, salespeople... agree: if you are not particular but want a really good deal, buy last year's leftover models in early spring. Next best time is between Christmas and New Year when people are short on cash and the auto business is real slow. If you have to buy at any other time of the year, the last weekend of the month when salespeople have monthly quotas to meet and no time left.
^^Is a great answer. Basic of demand and supply and the pain of having quotas. Well, that is a good time to buy a new car. But there is a difference between a new car and a new model. A brand new car whose model is in the year 2 or 3 years before now is actually cheaper now. You can search cars classifieds and car advertising on a new car to determine if there are different offers or promos for the same car. This way, you can get a great deal for the car.
