The estimated number of atheists in the world is approximately fifty percent. One must realize, that irrespective of the multiple religious organisations, a lot of people do not really follow the 'faith' because of true belief. Survival is intrinsic to humans, therefore, it might be more appropriate to verbally acknowledge belief to be accepted, but internally one might differ.
