What is the shelf life of canned tomatoes?

[Edit]

Answer

Canned foods are typically nonperishable if processed a canned correctly.

Not true. Home canned goods can be safely kept until the lid starts to rust. You'll know by the smell!. Commercially canned stuff carries an expiration date. I wouldn't use it much past 6 months later
